The ultimate sacrifice

All gave some. Some gave all. Most just switched platforms.

It’s been 80 years since the Muskovite Axis of Bros was finally vanquished by the PMC Alliance of Sanctimony. After returning to civilian life, few of the social soldiers who fought — those who survived, anyway — would speak about the experience, so harrowing it was. But with their numbers dwindling, as the cold inevitability of mortal existence succeeds where not even the most vicious barrage of tweets could, the veterans who went to X and back are beginning to speak out.

They are doing it for the historical record. They are doing it to remember and honor those who did not make it. And they are doing it for future generations, who are starting to ask: Grandpa, where were you when democracy was in danger?

Their answer, in a soft but firm voice, is clear: We were on Bluesky.
