In the current issue of Foreign Affairs, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken writes a lengthy and eloquent essay that can only be understood as his resignation from his role as America’s top diplomat. We at The Bupkes salute Antony Blinken for his hard work in the service of a foreign policy that, depending on one’s view and interests, could be alternately viewed as disastrous or a huge success.
We also would like some recognition for knowing that he is called Antony. If we had a dime every time we heard Anthony, this magazine wouldn’t need a paywall.
It is a shame that the editors of Foreign Affairs thought the best place for Antony Blinken’s timely resignation letter was page 62 of the print edition. (The Bupkes has reached out to Foreign Affairs for comment, and we will inform our readers if and as soon as we hear back.)
